Support Us

All of our work – and the value it brings to so many lives – is made possible by you. Contributors underwrite one-third of the total cost of our incredible concerts and educational programs. This season, we celebrate 87 years of cultural enrichment in our community with our most dynamic and inspiring season to date. We need your help to raise the $150,000 necessary to offer these amazing musical experiences this season:

  • PROJECT Trio, one of classical music’s most electrifying ensembles
  • A pair of up-close-and-personal programs at the beloved Brown Derby featuring the talents of Iowa’s finest musicians in virtuosic music of the Baroque and Classical periods
  • Ensembles-in-the-Schools concerts designed to deepen in-school fine arts education for over 2000 students, this year featuring large ensembles for the first time!
  • The world premiere of a spooky Halloween tale by visual artist Gary Kelley set to Gustav Mahler’s Nachtmusik

  • Our much-loved Instrument Petting Zoo, providing over 1,500 youth (and the young at heart) opportunities for hands-on musical exploration
  • The return of a holiday favorite, the animated classic The Snowman with the score performed live by the orchestra
  • A celebration of America’s most inspiring and influential classical musician, Leonard Bernstein, including special performances for over 4000 area students.

All donors are listed in our program book (2 books for 7 concerts) and receive a selection of benefits according to giving levels.
