Nathaniel Parrish // A native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Nathaniel Parrish is currently in his second year as the Director of Music for Traditional Worship at Nazareth Lutheran Church. In 2004, Nathaniel received his BA in organ performance and economics from the University of Northern Iowa. His primary teachers include Mr. Bill McGuire, Dr. Marilou Kratzenstein, Dr. Melody Steed, and Dr. Brett Wolgast. In addition to teaching private piano and organ lessons, Nathaniel is the accompanist for the Metropolitan Chorale and frequently accompanies vocalists, instrumentalists, and varied ensembles alike. Nathaniel has over 15 years of music ministry experience, serving Noroton Presbyterian Church (Darien, Connecticut), Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church (Cedar Falls, Iowa) and Nazareth.
In 2012, Nathaniel completed his master of arts degree in communication studies at the University of Northern Iowa and has completed work towards a doctoral degree from the University of Iowa in the same field. Nathaniel resides in Waterloo, Iowa with his spouse, Ali, and three stepdaughters: Caitlin, Ireland, and Felicity.
